If so, I just finished it and it's a good one - I think you'll like it. You're right, I found it motivating in the sense of "well if he can run 100 miles, surely I can knock out my lousy 7-miler." He has a lot of interesting stuff to say about the human condition, why we do it, and also some interesting cultural thoughts about the lack of African participation in ultra running when they dominate every marathon-and-shorter distance. <br /><br />It's riveting in the way that so many sports/running memoirs can be.
